The Dog Scoop was founded by Alex Oliphant, a Concord, Massachusetts native and Desert Storm Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. After completing his service, Alex earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Massachusetts. While working at a prominent software company for seven years, he made the decision to leave the corporate environment and pursue his true passion – dogs – on a professional basis. Alex became a certified trainer licensed by Animal Behavior College and founded The Dog Scoop in 2003.

A pioneer of the Open Pack dog care concept, Alex sought like-minded professionals who were serious about dog care to join his company. The Dog Scoop rapidly gained a reputation for providing a happy, safe, active environment for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds.

Today, The Dog Scoop has a staff of more than fifteen professionals and provides daycare, boarding, and bathing services. Everyone who works at The Dog Scoop is specially trained in dog behavior and committed to providing world-class customer service to both our human and canine clients.
